The
family farm is owned by Richard Darlington, and farmed by his daughter Patsy
and her husband, John Pimlott. Both the Darlington's and
Pimlott's have very long traditions of farming, with both families
originating in Cheshire, and moving to next door farms in Shropshire
in the 1950's.
The old farming traditions of producing slowly maturing beef cattle, and the love of horses (which both families once used to work the land) have been combined with the farm diversifying into supplying sumptuous beef direct to the public through the retail shop and Farmers' Markets.
